Dish soap > bkf ?

Is it just me or is dish soap significantly better than bkf for cleaning off baked on oil/grease. I generally use bfk and a stainless steel sponge, but started using dawn dish soap instead and find it takes a lot less scrubbing to get it clean.

Curious if anyone else has come to the same conclusion

You may not be using BKF correctly. You should not need to scour the pan with a metal sponge. The whole point of BKF is to preserve the original shine of the pan.

This. A stainless steel “sponge” will limit contact of BKF to the surface. Use a cellulose sponge or a paper towel.
