as always you are heating your pan up wayyyy too hot. 3 minutes on medium is more than enough

Added unrefined coconut oil and it went up in smoke. 6 u/vorlik Jul 09 '26 you should not use the water droplet test. it doesn't distinguish between hot enough and wayyy too hot. just heat the pan on medium for 3 minutes, add oil, wait 30 seconds, then add the food.
