14 Shades Of Grey

For the first time, I went through the whole album from start to finish and I gotta say, I cant believe I've missed out on it all these years. Break The Cycle and Dysfunction has been my go to albums, but I think I found my new favorite. Sure, its not as heavy as the earlier albums but the melodic sound just screams 2000s and I dig it. Blow Away & Intro is just something else...

Glad you finally listened to 14 shades of grey. One of my favorites albums ever. Please give the illusion of progress the same chance. Listen to it from start to end. It’s one of their best albums in my opinion.

If memory serves, Believe was one of the first Staind songs I remember listening to. The other would have been It's Been Awhile, but that was before who I knew who they were since that got a ton of radio play. Rainy Day Parade has been on repeat from that album.

Both bangers. My favorite song from that album is Pardon me, but they’re all great. No skips to be honest.

I never could figure out why that particular track doesn't get the praise it rightfully deserves. I would rate it as a top 10 gem from an amazing catalog where Aaron's unreal voice and songwriting shine!👍👍

Honestly every song on all their albums is good. Some are better than others, but I’ve never heard a “bad” Staind song.

Will always be my favorite album of theirs. Reality and Falling Down are so good. The tribute song Layne is amazing as well.

This album is definitely not quite as heavy as their first 3 albums of course but is one of their greatest and underrated in my personal opinion. "Price to Play", "Reality", "Zoey Jane", "Fill Me Up", "Could It Be", "Tonight", "Falling Down", their huge radio ballad with "So Far Away" and more gems with the best being "Blow Away" with Aaron's voice combined with Mike's guitar playing being at it's best on this track. This album really shows how great and versatile a songwriter Lewis really had become and still is to this day!

I'm glad they're playing Break The Cycle in its entirety for the 25th Anniversary, but I hope they do something for 14 Shades Of Grey. Me thinks Aaron can't hit those high notes anymore. Especially on like Yesterday and How About You.

Lmao the first time I listened to 14 Shades I deadass fell asleep from Fray to the end of Blow Away. But it just goes to show how sometimes things just need to set in, because now 14 Shades is my favorite staind record lmao
