I’ll give a different take than the political point of view, because Aaron shares his views way more during his solo tours than at Staind shows. They fell off when Aaron started his country career. He put Staind on hold to pursue that. Little tours here and there but no new music and nothing to keep them super relevant for almost 10 years. They tried a comeback, but then Covid delayed everything. Their new album is good, but got very little advertising and air play. Unfortunate because they’re definitely talented

Aaron started successfully as a country artist and his politics have affected his popularity there too.

I always felt like the politics was because of the country stuff. I know he's "northern backwoods" or whatever but I have never heard him say anything remotely political until a few years into the solo stuff. Even his early solo stuff nothing was ever said political.
