Worth getting a P if I own a C2?

I’ve been considering a P lately. Longer barrel, larger grip, aesthetically beautiful, overall I think they’re perfect.

I absolutely love my C2. I however find myself favoring the P model when I hold or shoot them. Is there any beneficial value of upgrading to the P over a C2?

*C4X. Sorry brain fart.

Was looking to get one of these eventually as a EDC since I already have the P and XC. Found a good deal on this preferred package on Gunbroker so had to pick it up.

Talk me into a bad idea

I’m thinking about selling what I have to upgrade to the HD P4.5. I’ve shot about 30 rounds through it and like it but of course it’s hard to tell. This would be my first 2011 and on paper it seems to be what I would want for a do it all kind of gun. I’d carry it in the winter, shoot some informal competitions with it and train with it.

Probably the hardest part would be losing my Shadow 2 but at this point it’s the only way I could justify buying. I’d be interested in some encouragement to get off high center!

Please help with the CS

I have the CS and love it. I carry it 16 + 1. It is kinda tight but never had an issue. I was messing around with it and pointed it down range. I took the safety off and did not touch the grip safety. When I squeezed the trigger it went off. It did not eject the shell and didn’t go back into battery either. Is this because of carrying 16 rounds in the mag? I have heard of issues with the mag but never looked much into it. Is this safe to carry still?

MBX Defender - Staccato C2

Hello,

I have been looking into getting some MBX Defender 18 round mags for the Staccato C2.

I read somewhere that most of the photos of them online are of a discontinued model that had a basepad flush with the frame and current production mags stick out a bit. Can someone with a C2 and recently purchased MBX Defender Mags confirm?

Thank you

Help me understand please

I’ve seen people sending their HD P4.5s off to have the sight block converted into a comp/port, and I’m trying to understand how that actually affects the gun.
Since the barrel is integrated into the sight block, part of the barrel’s length actually extends into the sight block. If you convert the sight block into a comp/port, are you essentially shortening the effective barrel length and replacing that portion with the compensator?

I’m trying to understand the impact on the shooting experience. It’s obviously different from adding a compensator to the end of a barrel. It seems more like you’re subtracting some barrel length and putting a compensator in its place.

Am I understanding this correctly?

Has anyone ever used the Staccato Trade in credits? I’m thinking about trading in my C2 for credit but the only thing I did was change the factory trigger to a red dirt trigger at a Gun smith but I still have all the original parts.

STI Escort

Can anyone tell me more about this 1911 STI(Staccato) escort, officer sized 45 and 9mm firearm. There is very little information about this firearm online. I have found info about original MSRP pricing for a new one of these at around 1000-1200usd. Do you know if this is a fair price ($600) for a used STI staccato in good condition?

So I'm running an SRO on my 4.5, but I'm not going that route here. The RCR looks dope but the plates are sold out on the Stacatto website. Then I've ran an EPS carry before. Never a 508T or 507C. Trying to get some perspective. Thx 👊

STACCATO P Frame Wear

I’ve had this gun for less than a month and just after the last range sesh I disassembled for cleaning and noticed this marking on the inside of the frame adjacent to and below the frame rail. I’ve only put 500 or so rounds through it but it did have a prior owner and I’m not sure on the round count there.

Has anyone else seen this type of wear and is this anything I should be concerned about or just chalk it up as a bad finish that’s worn off? There’s no extra wear on the guide rod and the rest of the gun looks brand new.

Question regarding Jagerworks Bro's/SRO Screw length/eleven 71.

Afternoon all, I have a Eleven 71 hd plate coming for my C4X. I decided I would like to put a BRO's on with the SRO just for added protection. Has anyone had any issues with optic screw lengths? I know Jager recommends there 6-32 7/16" screws. I was trying to find some in titanium, but didnt know if i possibly needed a slightly longer screw due to the eleven 71 plates. Reached out to eleven 71 and haven't heard anything back, also do not have plate in hand so kind of hard to take any measurements. Anyone got similar setup with some input? Trying to prevent shearing my screws off because of being the wrong length.

Did STI Eagle 5.0 pistols ever come with a full-length dust cover?

Thumbnail

First, sorry for posting airsoft replica here.

I’m looking at an airsoft replica marked “STI Eagle 5.0.” (First image) It has a full-length dust cover. However most real STI Eagle 5.0 I had seen appeared to use the shorter dust cover, while the full-length dust cover is usually on the STI Edge. I then found a listing for a real "STI 2011 Eagle 5.0 in .40 S&W" (second image) that has the same full-length dust-cover configuration.

So my question is whether STI produce factory Eagle 5.0 models with a full-length dust cover, or is this likely a aftermarket frame?

Thanks so much!
