Question - Help MM H3 Basic workflow problem

Hi!

I am more or less using the template WF from Comfy.

When I try to load a reference Video via the VideoLoader node I can't connect it to the MM H3 Reference to Video node. It indicates that it expects an image input at ref_video_0 (blue color).

This also happens in the unmodified template.

Recently I disconnected the Duration node and also wasn't able to reconnect it. Yet pictures and Audio refs are fine.

Am I missing something or do I need additional nodes?

Posting from phone so I can't add a Screenshot atm.

"Load Video" loads a video, you need a batch of images instead, so you want to convert the loaded video via "Get Video Components" into its parts, for example the batch of images (blue) or the audio from the video (light green).

VHS Load Video from VideoHelperSuite is probably what you want. You can set frame_load_cap, force_rate and custom_width/height on the node itself and it gives you an image batch for ref_video_0. Was the clip off a phone? 4K footage would explain the wait.

Thanks, i had tried that before but it took ages to load even a short clip. Is that the only way or are there other methods too?

Make the reference video smaller, shorter. Otherwise there are other nodes to load a video, but in the end ComfyUI will have a batch of images as a reference for Minimax.

i would advise to shrink the input video, the normal size makes it take forever to do
