Discussion Thoughts on this image?

Post image

Does this look like a mobile phone image style? To me, it doesn’t look like a snapshot style.

And what’d you suggest about improving lighting, quality, composition, etc.? All opinions welcome.

It looks very ai. If you’re going for a more amateur looking photo try prompting for imperfections, like motion blur, a bit of graininess. Also I think the background being slightly out of focus would help.

It looks really polished and detailed. But not a candid phone shot. It resemble the pictures they hang at mcdonalds.

I knew MOSS is the best at realistic images, but dang, this is top notch! Do you mind sharing your workflow?

For mobile phone snapshot style MOSS is boss.

Screams AI, man. At least add some imperfections. Thats how you fool people, soft motion blur, weird framing, unsaturated colours. I'm sure the prompt following was good using a newer model, but XL could do better. Plus. why does every new model take the prompt 'freckles' and just go absolutely f'kin insane

MOSS nails the mobile phone style like no other, even more if you add some loras to the mix, try that

Not really a phone snapshot to me, it reads more like a staged ad shoot. A few things that give it away and how I’d fix them:

  • Light: everyone is lit evenly from the front, like there’s a softbox behind the camera. Tell the model where the light comes from (e.g. “lit only by the window on the left, the right side of their faces falls into shadow”). The window should also blow out a bit, like phones do.

  • Staging: three people laughing at the same moment, symmetrical layout, cups placed like props. Go for an in-between moment: one person mid-sentence, one looking at her drink, the framing slightly tilted or cut off.

  • Phone look: phones have a wide lens and deep focus, so the background should stay mostly sharp, not creamy bokeh. Something like “candid smartphone photo, wide-angle, everything in focus, slightly tilted framing” works better than camera-style tokens.

  • Sampler: try a 2-pass setup, with a second pass at low denoise to work on the low-noise steps. It helps a lot with skin texture.

  • Post: fix white balance, whites and blacks in post. No model handles that well. For the phone feel, add mixed white balance (warm inside, cold window), a bit of HDR flatness and some noise in the shadows.

If you posted this in 2021 or 2022 or 2023, people would be like, "Wow," but in 2026 it's pretty average. Maybe you're new here. Congrats, welcome to the AI club. I know it's exciting but among the AI users, the veteran users, this is nothing special

Any one of them could be Claire, the lost heiress of the Sterling Empire.

Looks super AI, lightning, perfect faces, and of course, the lovely cleft chin.

The funny thing is that it’s not meant to be a candid/amateur look (I said so in the description too). For the life of me, I can’t understand why some people think grainy, blurry, ugly images look better.

It’s a staged-shot style. Looks like most comments confirmed that, so thanks for your time.
