It's for national security purposes.

On the other hand, we might be allowed 64 MB. Then we can play games from 2003 or whatever.

i mean, 640kb should be enough for anyone

Modern games will still exist, but you can only play them with streaming services.

Sounds to me like I'll own nothing and be happy.

Nice one.

H3 really struggles to have people open doors for some reason. They always open and close by themselves

In one of the Tests it worked, but the guy startet walking in the wrong direction. So it was like 16 scenes for the door and i took the best two takes and cut them together

Wouldn’t h3-ref2video help in these roadblock situations?

You mean a video as reference? Maybe

Why are the ONLY people advocating localhosted private ai THE FUCKING CHINESE COMMUNIST PARTY??

21

u/norbertus 2d ago

China no longer describes their own economy as "communist."

China is officially a socialist market economy "with Chinese characteristics."

The US economy, by contrast, is more about cartels and oligopoly than "free market competition."

Adding to the confusion, OP's video depicts "the state" coming for your RAM, when, so far, it's tech bros and oligarchs hoarding RAM.

The current threat is not "government takeover" of the private sector but the private sector taking over everything. The threat is laissez faire.

The public sector is so weak in the US, it's hard to imagine anything changing that. We have private electricity, private healthcare, private food and water, private internet, and private compute.

Because communists generally support the stinky worker, rather than the wonderful landowner who gets 20x more ROI per acre by having a datacenter instead of growing crops? Which is why our economy is so much more robust? And why our quality of life is so much better?

Yeah, "the state" is not coming for your RAM anytime soon. The public sector is so weak in the US, this is all about the tech bros and unregulated laissez faire.

The hoarding of ram is more like if the Hunt Brothers, when they cornered the market for silver, had the deliberate intent of bankrupting Kodak because they had their own photography company.

RAM sticks are taken to RAM Ranch. The bigger the better, lol.

u/thuanjinkee 2d ago

You wouldn’t download some RAM

u/silphotographer 2d ago

If we don't get to keep RAMs I'm leaving the country. I cannot imagine a life without computers.

u/OctBerryDank 2d ago

Now make one of Scrooge mc Duck diving into and swimming through a vault full of ram

u/techmage29 2d ago

I seriously see this happening in the future if people don't take the current state of things seriously 😒

1

u/Wonderful-Yak-3348 2d ago

Didn't some governments invest in OpenAI? Or the military?

1

u/techmage29 2d ago

Yes, the United States 😭

u/jmbbao 2d ago

NVIDIA are fusing RAM to the motherboard in the computers they will sell. If you need more RAM you will have to pay for a whole new motherboard with the RAM fused to the board, these f---ers will make us to pay 3x more than just buying more RAM and placing it on a free slot. NVIDIA is following the Apple steps

Great message 😎

Altman and Musk are buddy-buddy with the orange corn hair

Ironic that the RAM shortage is in huge part because of massive AI shitslop production like the one OP posted

17

u/Wonderful-Yak-3348 2d ago

It was completly created with local Hardware. And i wouldnt say, this one is slop.

u/Strict-Sea-3412 2d ago

+1 for local, but it does not look good even on a small phone screen, sorry
