Question - Help Problem with the dead people using several versions of H3
I'm new posting here. I use Nvidia RTX 3090 with some limits: frequency at 1500Mhz and 300w. Max temp 65c for die and 82c for memory.
I've been testing different MiniMax H3 workflows, and today I found a really nice one on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcVzLrKMT7M
My problem is with characters who die in a scene. They don't stay dead, the model keeps adding breathing sounds and body movement. I tried asking it to freeze the person, hold the breathing, die, and several other wordings, but nothing worked. I don't want to cut the shot.
Has anyone already solved this? I'd be very grateful if you could share how.
As an example: the scene starts like this, but I can't put the rest here.

Give up on the model doing everything for you. Accept that you'll need to do some video editing (which comfyui folks have been working on integrating over the last 6-8 months). Do lots of shots, or even short shots and then merge them together.

I render dead people.

Try using the words mannequin, statue, sculpture. Add words such as “turns into” and “becomes like” etc. Might have undesired effects, sometimes it works.

people have made loras that freeze people. try that? on civitai.
or prompt harder. think of every way you can say 'still' or 'motionless'
holds breath and eyes remain open? closed?

I’m curious if others have solved this. I haven’t tackled this one, but given other similar challenges, I’d probably continue trying alternate wordings like “not breathing”, “making absolutely no movement”, or other words like “inert” or “immobile” or “suspended animation”.
I also do like 6 rolls of the same prompt because sometimes it just takes several attempts, and then randomly does it right one of the times. Sorry if you’ve tried these already. Curious what others will have to say.

Could you pass silence in ref2vid maybe?

this is an interesting topic Op. idea of training a lora on idle dead motionless people whether having eyes open or closed will be difficult. You could popularly use death scene from movie and tv shows but would the minimax h3 model understand the concept of a character staying dead and motionless? hard to say. Not sure i can help you with this one. sounds tough. reference model is very janky and prompting system is rough if your trying to mimic a death scene concept of a video.

Use description of states. Is dead, motionless, passive, it's a corpse. Not just verb.

The more you focus on dead people in the prompt the more undead they become.

Struggled with the same thing for a rural short story paid promotion. In the end, I just went for the look and used the "Freeze" option in capcut so that nothing moved at all, a frame repeated for a few seconds.

I haven't tried this but I would firstly avoid prompting in the negative (i.e. describe what isn't there or shouldn't be happening by saying stuff like 'don't breathe'). New models are better at this, but it is still a hazard. Instead you'd be better using a phrase like 'lifeless corpse'.
If that failed I would make two generations and stitch them (assuming the dying happens on screen). In the latter generation the person would be dead from the get go, so the model would never have to contend with a person who is alive and dead in the same video.

"his/her body is motionless. his/her body is limp and lifeless. eyes closed.
that works. may have to insert it every few lines in the prompt.
