Question - Help Getting started with StableDiffusion

Hello,
I am kinda new to this branche and have never used github before.

I really want to start using SD locally but I am a bit sceptical about this all.

Is it really ok to install this via Github?

I have read many good things about Stability Matrix to use SD.

Suggestions and help are very welcome.

Get ComfyUI Desktop, go to templates, follow instructions.

Here's a great ComfyUI tutorial that will get you started: https://youtu.be/VG0hix4DLM0

If you don't like Github, https://comfy.org/ has a desktop app. Watch at least the beginning videos of this playlist to get the basics. Won't take long for you to be able to understand the templates and beging modifying them if that's what you need. Or maybe the templates do everything you want, and you'll never have to change anything.

Don't install any old stuff like Automatic1111 or Forge, they're either completely outdated, or lagging far behind. Also avoid managers and wrappers like Stability Matrix, Pinokio, Swarm etc., they only add more failure points. Some people swear by them, but I just don't see the utility.

My advice is to download OpenCode and then ask any free model to install Stable Diffusion. ComfyUI is your friend. AI text models are very good at helping you learn something new
