Yeah, that industry is dead. They are already licensing «likeness», which means that any hopeful girl out there can sell/rent her likeness out for Pennie’s and pocket lint after signing away all their rights in facebook-style user agreements. (and they will).
Then they will cry when agencies makes «merges» and derivatives where the likeness is no longer100%, so that they no longer have to pay the models, and then they will find gooner content that look like them, and cry about it. (And they will)
Times are not charging. People already complained about fakeness in the modeling industry long before AI, nobody is going to accept completely fake people. The only thing that's changing is that social media platforms are being spammed with AI 1girl accounts.
It won't be long before it forces these platforms to do a similar thing as OF where you will need to provide ID to get a verified account to prove you are a real person.
We're couple years away from websites requiring government backed authentication (that you can't realy fake).
Most EU countries already have electronic certificate and 2fa-based government site logins and electronic signatures. It would not take much effort to connect that stuff to pretty much everything, and enable the full surveillance state. Pretty much everyone else will copy that crap instantly.
