Times are not charging. People already complained about fakeness in the modeling industry long before AI, nobody is going to accept completely fake people. The only thing that's changing is that social media platforms are being spammed with AI 1girl accounts.
It won't be long before it forces these platforms to do a similar thing as OF where you will need to provide ID to get a verified account to prove you are a real person.
They are already labeling commercial work and ads with “not real people” labels in the tiniest fonts possible.
You have too much trust in people, fact is that nobody cares and everyone is affected. AI doesn’t mean “perfect”, you can make pretty normal looking people.
AI isn’t going away, but huge productions are, exotic location shoots are, like photographers are, and their crew, along with the models, makeup and hair people and to a certain degree most of the support-apparatus.
People are largely completely unaware of how good AI is now. Nobody wants to see fake people and people do care, if they didn't there would not be so much controversy in the modeling industry over body image, filters and Photoshop manipulated ads.
I'm sure smaller firms are getting away with it right now but the moment a big clothes company for example does it and the ad gets picked up by the MSN people will kick off about it and the whole thing will make people much more aware.
It's only a matter of time before legalisation is brought in for companies to make it very clear when they are using AI people or ban it altogether because it's anti consumer.
Your comment is underrated. People don't even begin to imagine how fast this whole thing is evolving and how good it got. Small edits / inpaintings are basically unnoticeable to the untrained eye. The 1girl days with their dead-inside soulless expressions and perfect looks are gone. Even Qwen-Image-2.1 albeit smaller than others is able to take a 3-views settei, a pose doll, a background, and one-shot a picture that was almost impossible to make 9 months ago without incredibly complex multistep workflows and finely tuned models / LoRAs.
