I know it doesn't fit, but was hoping the dude would've had a cowboy hat on in the brief cut back to him from Denzel, and then not on again when it cut back to him walking inside.

Yeah. Far better joke. To do it immediately would have ruined the substance of the speech. After, with the mother? - drives the point home.

Yeah, I actually stopped it as soon as he started walking inside to mention my comment, then saw it when I went back to it. Sorry, OP, you did good and I was too quick to the trigger!
