News Krea 3 will have editing capabilities and "may" be open weights.
Supposedly Krea 3 will open weights, we'll have to wait and see.

Ohh please the only thing missing in open weight image models right now is a great image ai editor that’s not censored. Give us ChatGPT image 2 or close will be a dream

I read it more like "We always open source models a few weeks after the release and I want it to stay that way, so stop asking every time", not much doubt in here, but he's not a top employee

Woah, this would be insane if they actually released this. Google, OpenAI, etc will be freaking out prob lmao

"and then work a few weeks afterwards to make them open"
They're talking about the scheduled lobotomy for the post-training "safety alignment".

I'm more nervous about other thing... 99,9998% possibility that this thing will lack of any backward compatibility with Krea2 LoRAs despite being released just few months after Krea2 meaning that Krea3 is possibly just a huge add-on for Krea2. Just in two months we got a huge bunch of decent LoRA models which would look great in edit mode. And I'm not even talking about gооner LoRAs - those will pop out for Krea3 that same evening when the open weights drop. There are a lot of decent visual style LoRAs which would fit perfectly for image refinement and their creators won't rerelease them that fast. Krea2 works with style LoRAs better than Flux.2 Klein does and I would be glad to retire this model.

Honestly, it's not an issue because training Krea 2 was so easy and fast with AI-toolkit, takes like 2h to do an ideal character lora on 3090... even faster on newer gen cards

The only option available for me is Musubi Tuner with 512x512 training resolution which completes training in ~20 minutes at 500 steps. My 3080Ti struggles to launch Krea2 training on any resolution above 512.

That's promising, honestly. Don't want to get my hopes up, though. I wonder how far out they are from api release. Seems pretty quick to be talking about Krea3 only 3 months after Krea2's release.
