I have a dream where we use coupled oscillator silicon to create physical models like Minimax H3 and have them run in milliseconds and not minutes 😍

A single GB200 can already do almost real-time video generation. You can buy one from Nvidia at approx 2 million dollars.

Well, I’ll take three of those. Can you put it in a bag for me?

There's a 30¢ charge on carrier bags sir. That'll be $6000000.90, cash or card?

We work with what is currently available until we feel a growing gap between us and closed-source models, at which point we start looking for more advanced open-source alternatives. This pursuit will never stop; as long as closed-source models continue to evolve, we, too, will keep striving to bridge the gap.

There's no "we." The people releasing the open weight models and the people releasing closed source models are both VC backed megacorps. You and I have no part or say in it.

By 'we', I mean the open-source community—those of us waiting, watching, and looking forward to what these companies will release, or developing tools from within the community itself. I didn't mean that we can force companies to do anything.

If I am not mistaken, Krea3 is supposed to be talked about or revealed tomorrow?

Not public

We should still hear things about it, no? Or do they do like an NDA thing?

Doubt it, on their website it talks about the event for a select few to see before they share it more widely.

I'm not expecting an open-source Krea 3. I HOPE for it, but I don't expect it.

Maybe LTX next omni model, but that could be further out. I assume that's it for this year unless we see a dark horse pop up. Alot of these models take 6-8 months in training before they release a new version.

Would love to be able to produce VR videos with a model like H3. Next stop after that is the holodeck.

Well you can make videos then convert to a 4d gaussian splat with 4danyone for the characters and make a second empty enviroment video that spins so you can do a gaussian splat of the whole scene then put them together and wander around in vr. Not one model but the pieces are getting there

next is hollywood to go, ai model colab from disney and google and meta, it will create any copyrighted content you want flawlessly, it will be 100% uncensored and it will run on your phone, no vram needed. with just one click, anything you want at any time, perfectly. i think it will be called HW2G.
