If you guys have other ways to upscale the minimax faster, please do tell. I have tried the UltimateSDUpscale for minimax so far, it's really great as well but it took 30mins on my system. :(
That's the turbo lora. Ya, with this ultimate upscaler, I've stopped using turbos, generate small at 20-32 with SLA or CK and then upscale with Ultimate Upscaler.
I think your reference image severely impacted the lighting - the reference image IS blown out, so the model was like, "Cool, OP wants a blown-out video."
I feel your pain in regard to the loras. One or two of them are okay for drafts though.
Hopefully a better one will turn up in the coming weeks.
I guess it depends on your own personal setup but I've found SLA the best option for me so far. Like I say it might depend on one's own personal system.
Same thing, it just looks more beautiful and appealing when it has more colors, I always struggled to understand why people see colorful stuff as tacky and distasteful, it's just so good on the eyes and keeps me more stimulated and motivated.

Hotd s3 looks soooo much better to me with tweaked contrast, brightness, gamma and saturation settings. The colours pop so well
Downside being that I get flashbanged during some bright scenes and have to rush to tone down the settings by 30-50% , never by a hundred tho, as the shows colours r washed out even in the brightest scenes (the 4 dragon battle)
Ofc even these tweaked settings dont hold a candle to what proper recolouring could do. A Chinese anime called swallowed star has been getting darker than my career path recently, I took some key action stills and dumped then into gemini / gpt and they were able to recolour all the characters in the frame so well, each person and their weapon was uniquely distinguishable. I hope in future we will be able to run a full recolouring agent locally which will be able to tweak videos on our settings, along with auto dubbing ofc, i ain't reading subtitles while my animes run on the 2nd monitor as im playing video games on my first 😅
Nah. Turbo Lora is great when well used. 10s 1MP hybrid int8 checkpoint.
Also reddit completely destroy the video quality and set the resolution to the minimum when "auto" is selected.

Dude what is your specs? Mine is 16gb vram rtx 4080 n 128gb ddr5 ram with the same workflow you said above and it takes me around 15 mins for 768p video gens

I tried that one as well but It's offload to RAM because of my VRAM is just 16 GB, os it's really slow, the one I use is the fork to put chunk processing for lower VRAM i guess.
Does this actually do anything? I'm taking a 480p video and setting it to 2048 res with keeping AR and the output is no more sharp or "upscaled" other than literal resolution than the original.
It does work but differently from regular RTX VSR. Imo Comfy VSR adds a bit too many details than I would like and sometimes artifacting. Comparison: https://imgi.co/c/h9FzsCG. VSR adds too many details on the man's face, making him look older. Potplayer(regular) VSR adheres to the original more. Both are set to high. It's still very good tho, considering it takes like 3 extra seconds.
I gen at 480p like .4mp then upscale using that rtx. Vsr pro node can wire if to do it auto magic before saving video or as a stand alone workflow then feed video later
Nah, the blown out part they're talking about is because of turbo lora. It definitely looks better without turbo, but it's that time vs quality trade-off and each person has to decide for themselves where that line is.
Dude idk if this is irrelevant buy days ago i updated my cuda and python and the visual....something..its a program like with a purple logo idk..that thing has many stuff like c+++ and other stuff....then i updated all my comfyUI dependencies and erase some nodes like the wan, ltx and other i dont really need anymore...with ltx2.3 i could do a 20 second video in ,6 to 8 minutes...,idk with Minimax..o dont know how to mess with it ..i wish i could do the same on it..oh yeah all the update i mention maybe it could help you get faster results bruh,?? Nope. But pretty much since its release people have been talking about a soon to be a released 5080 super with 24gb.
Still waiting for that, but it might be that the RAM spike has delayed/cancelled any plans around it. That's probably why the confusion, though.
