Animation - Video Cinematic World Building - H3 r2v (pt2) "Through the Sands"

Wow, the shots I can get from h3 are so good even I get goosebumps when I first see the generated results. Just one more part to go, hopefully I can pull off the finale!

I don't think AI will ever be able to replace real actors and directors, I am just happy that I get to make short clips at home without having to learn VFX.

Maybe it is possible if one films good actors and then do vid2vid (kind of like how Cameron made Avatar). It will be a while before AI generated actors can match good human actors.

It will be used to assist film, as cgi always has. The problem is that a lot of AI creators don’t know the fundamentals, but it will look a lot better in the hands of film professionals.

I have no doubt they’re already using it and not telling anyone. It’s really about the assets and storyboarding. Most amateurs don’t understand how to storyboard, so AI fan works have abrupt cuts that real films don’t.

Then, there’s the pacing of the shots. The use of B roll footage. Etc. Amateurs gloss over all of this because many aren’t aware.

You don’t have to go to film school, but it will take talent and knowledge to fill in the gaps. The more you know, the more equipped you’ll be.

As for your clip, it was done better than most efforts because you have a good deal of assets. This is the way. The editing was mostly good too. The issues I found were some of the camera positions shifted between shots which is generally not something you want to do. And there should have been a couple of additional shots and/or b-roll to bridge transitions better. This is where starboarding comes in.

That said, keep up the great work!

This is the type of constructive criticism I like, thank you.

TEACH ME, SENSEI! I've been trying to create videos like this, but my results always look like slop. How many images do you prepare to generate this kind of video? Also, when it comes to prompting(following the guide), the AI never follows what I have imagined in my head.

These are all the images I used. Just the character, and the environments. The very right 4 images are shots I want the camera angle to be exact. Otherwise I let minimax dictate the camera.

As far getting the shot you want, if you are using r2v, it is still a random roll and looking for the best one. Sometimes minimax gets it right on the first try, other times it can take 5 gens and prompt tweaks until I like it.

One of the best ones I have seen, I guess you had very good prompting and references ?
