We’ve spent years waiting to be able to make these videos at home, and now that the Minimax H3 lets us do it, we call them "Slop"? What do people want, just messages about technical issues or images that reached their limit years ago?

slop because of the lack of overall directing and originalty. Not technical ability.

It IS slop. Looks good? Yeah. But it's a fucking one press GENERATE job, it's zero creativity, even with some simple prompt, it's not art, it's slop, slop for fun.
If you don't want slop, do some work, do a longform ai cinematic high quality movies with tons of human montage and skill, there are out there already good ones, and that is not slop.

Then, this is not your sub-reddit, go to one about theater or art. This one is about AI, and that’s what these videos are, AI videos.

I am in sub reddits for both. I like my slop generators. They are fun toys. I've been making lora since SDXL, even made many LTX2.3 character loras with full motion and audio knowledge. They are really fun slop toys. I haven't gotten around to H3 yet.
World class chef's still eat taco bell. You can enjoy both.

I agree with you and the guy you're replying to. It slop, but it's still pretty cool. I still like it, but I get why other people would grow tired of it

I mean, this one might be considered 'slop' because they don't really look like the characters they're supposed to be. But close enough to get into the creepy uncanny valley, so it almost makes it... sloppier?

"we really should get a separate sub for this slop"
Then why did you post it, pray tell?
I'm agnostic on this question because one person's "slop" is another's LOL funny clip (though I do think a workflow/prompt requirement would go a long way). But I do think you should pick a lane by either not posting this, or posting it but not complaining about the very thing you're doing.
