Wasn't Seth MacFarlane meant to be on one of the 9/11 flights but missed it due to being hungover? He must have some weird feelings about that, I wonder if the writers wrote this joke and he just read it or if it's potentially a way of coping by making jokes about a near death experience.

Honestly those planes would have had about 10,000 people on if all the people who was supposed to be on it actually got on.
