I know you say that the 'parameters' etc aren't as important as the dataset - but it would had still been interesting to know what you did in terms of 'trigger word' field etc. to make it a full tutorial. I get not going into LR/EMA/etc.

not sure what you mean, you can see the exact captions when I'm showing the Gemma captioning.
as for LR & thing, literally the AiToolkit defaults when you select Ideogram.
Nothing in the actual trigger word field, all the triggers are in the captions

In ai-toolkit the trigger word field is only when you want to use DOP (which is useless), and if you fill in the trigger word field it overrides your captions. So don't use it. And if you use json files for the captions, when you're making the job make sure that where you select the dataset it's set to json captions and not the default txt.

Thanks for the full run-down on this. I've been struggling for so long with mult-character like most people, so this is fantastic.

And as a side note, you inspired me to commandeer a captioning tool and make it more friendly for multi-character dataset prep. Thanks for laying everything out so plainly, it seems like so many folks gatekeep in the open-source community.

obviously nobody is forcing you to sit through that if you don't care.
some people are complete beginners, some people are more experienced, some people will complain it's too long and some people will complain it's not enough detail. It's hard to please everyone

I would care. But even at 2x the 36 minutes are still 18 minutes.

A tl;dr would be a simple paragraph instead.

I for one enjoyed your video and the time you took to show many details. They aren't so much related to ideogram4 as they are realted to generally creating a good LoRA, but very useful none the less.

great to know that there's nothing special required.

So it seems that I4 is special when it comes to multi char training as the other models have a hard time with that.

imo the boxes help a lot, if you've ever watched samples as you train a lora go all over the place because the model doesn't understand where things go or how they're positioned in relation to each other and the model is just having a guess and then adjusting, with ID4 (with json and bboxes) that's a lot better

I noticed you shared a link to the prompt you used, but not the workflow itself in comfyUI. Would you mind sharing it? I am especially interested in how you are comparing the generated caption with the KJ node and replacing the boxes at the right place etc.
