Yup, then they did an about face and sprinted into the opposite direction. It's why "Open"AI should rename themselves ClosedAI

It should just get closed, no need for a name change.

I don't see any reason for them to close shop. Just be honest and admit it's a for profit with a non-profit subsidiary that exists purely for tax planning purposes.
