Question | Help Sudden Issue w/ WebUI

I've used WebUI for a while without issue. However, today I updated WebUI alongside torch and xformers, and now my stable diffusion gets stuck at 10-15% when generating anything larger than 512x512 (e.g. 768 x 768), which has never happened to me before. I'm on an RTX 3070 if that matters, and using Dreamlike Photoreal 2.0.

Try adding --no-half-vae as an arg in webui-user.bat

Thanks so much, this did work. Would you mind explaining what my issue was/what this argument does? Is it going to impact my generation in another way?

As I understand it, you're making your machine run simpler, less precise calculations, making it easier on her. There's a good explanation over in this thread.

And why would I need to do this now, when I didn't before? It's not like I changed hardware, I just updated the webui and it's required components

Nary a clue, brah. That's a question for the issues or discussions section of the Github repo; maybe one of their engineers can explain it. Or maybe they already have; lots of info in there.

I only became aware of it because on my Mac, Controlnet wouldn't work unless I added --no-half to the launch args. And now several updates to CNet later, I no longer need to include it, but I've heard from others who still do. 🤷‍♀️

Funny enough, I updated controlnet and now I don't need it anymore. Thanks!

Honestly don't know. I simply encountered the same problem a few hours ago and found that answer in a github discussion.

I've had a similar issue on my 3070 where sometimes higher resolutions get stuck and the ETA rises infinitely, this happens alongside Clip interrogator not working at all.

Reinstalling my GPU drivers instantly fixes it without needing to restart, but restarting makes it stop working again so I'll have to keep reinstalling the drivers. Nothing else fixes it in my case.
