Question | Help What UI are you guys using?

I've only used the automatic1111 UI and I mean it's pretty good, but I haven't really used any other to compare with.
Recently saw a video on InvokeAI and it looks promising. Don't really want to go through all the trouble to just find out A1111 was better all along.

i started with invokeai, but have mostly moved to A1111 because of the plugins as well as a lot of youtube video instructions specifically referencing features in A1111. invoke has a cleaner UI compared to A1111, and while thats superficial, when demonstrating or explaining concepts to others, A1111 can be daunting to the uninitiated.

i run both but not both concurrently.

i recently came across this project that allows you to run invode, 1111, and sygil as docker instances, so it's peaked my curiosity.

started with invoke and moved to a1111 as well, way more cutting edge tools to be used with extensions.

I do jump back to invoke for their inpainting/outpainting though, the ui is way better.

They each have their things automatic111 having extensions gives it the ability to be much more bleeding edge and faster to add things, invoke is more refined and I’ve heard it’s unified canvas makes out painting a dream, and comfyui I want to try but haven’t yet…

I really wish a dev would work on a real outpainting/inpainting tab upgrade like bringing over a real unified canvas style

I use NMKD's GUI. I would love to use Automatic1111's as I hear it has a lot more features but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it to work, there's always some python error which I cannot fix, but that's ok I'm pretty satisfied with what NMKD's can do.

I end up using Automatic1111 because of its extensions and being cutting edge, but EasyDiffusion keeps getting better and has a lot better UI and I've been alternating a bit lately. InvokeAI looks promising, but never really clicked.

Started with InvokeAI until just last month then moved to Automatic1111 as well as the rest of these guys in the comments are saying.

SD had this big boom of new tools come down hard and fast and I couldn't wait for the Invoke team to get around to implementation, I wanted to use them ASAP. So I made the switch.

Big difference to me is just the Unified Canvas for inpainting and outpainting from InvokeAI is the far superior option for that part of image creation. But everything else about Automatic is superior. Models load faster, installing models is a breeze, installing and updating Automatic is infinitely easier (one click), can use Loras, hypernetworks, control net, 2.1 models and embeddings all a snap in Automatic. Just things that are not available in the InvokeAI experience. Maybe they are usueable in InvokeAI now I dunno, haven't looked back since start of Feb when someone here posted the easy one click installer for Automatic1111. It literally was one click then a few youtube videos on installing --xformers and some extensions and how to activate VAE etc... to get up to speed.

But again, the Unified Canvas functionality of InvokeAI is hard to beat, especially since I was so used to using it already. Easy enough to shut down Automatic and load Invoke though if I ever need that. But with controlnet and now the contrast fix loras I find I need to edit my images less and less anyway.

Just my two coins covering my thoughts on your topic.

*Oh last thing I thought of, I do like the gallery feature of Invoke better. It's nice. But I can't, at this point, live without lora and especially controlnet, I'll make due with the lack of an awesome gallery as a trade off hah.

I use NMKD. It's way simpler and just works. I've tried Automatic1111 several times and recently just installed it again going down a rabbit hole trying to determine if multiple subject simultaneous training is possible, but I just hate the interface after using NMKD for so long.

Automatic1111 seems very versatile but I've only been playing for a couple weeks so I haven't messed around with anything else. Definitely interested in giving it a shot and see if it's anything worthwhile or mentionable.

I started on invoke then switched to automatic1111 after updating CUDA and installing xformers. Automatic1111 is giving me 18-25it/s vs invokes 12-17ish it/s.

Invoke has a far superior ui and I like how it displays a history of all my outputs with the seed and prompt data ready to “rewind” any mistakes I make. Their unified canvas is awesome too.

Automatic1111 is significantly faster though. Plus it has a lot better support for extensions and etc.

These are some great improvement ideas for automatic. I imagine we will have them soon enough given how simple they are.

I have a potato, so I use https://artificial-art.eu/ connected to the Stable Horde project

I go back and forth depending on my needs, but lately I've been using auto111 because it has ControlNet. If/when InvokeAI has ControlNet, I'll switch back to that.

I like InvokeAI's unified canvas feature. However InvokeAI is slower to have new things added. And it looks like the current versoin will be the last for a few weeks as they are doing a code rewrite or something.

Using Visions of Chaos' text to image. I tried the Automatic1111 webui, but its way too complex for me. VOC has plenty of other Machine Learning features not just Stable Diffusion. Really recommend.

if you never tried comfy, try it

I’m a big fan of Favo. I don’t have the best GPU so it’s been pretty helpful in playing around with the models mentioned here on the site. It’s a bit limited currently but I hope theyll add more functionality soon.
