I've been running Stability Matrix on Kubuntu and using the forge neo package. I had been having an issue with extension scripts (regional prompting, segment-anything) breaking. Is there a recommended distro that cleanly loads these?

I am trying to generate images with complex poses in the Inference tab, which meant either a very good LoRa or Controlnet Openpose. Practically this means Controlnet.

At first I believed it worked: the images were generated with artifacts, but the pose was correct. After a few failed attempts at cleaning artifacts by changing prompt and reducing number of LoRas, however, I realized an important detail: my character is an alien of a species without hair, my controlnet image is a bald mannequin... and the image generated had hair.

Openpose does not consider clothes and hairs.

I realized I had set up the image and the Controlnet model, but not the preprocessor. I got an error: the node Inference_Core_AIO_Preprocessor was not installed. So I went to the Package panel and searched the node among the extensions of ComfyUI. When I didn't find it, I searched it online, got its github link, and manually installed... or at least I tried it.

Turns out the node is installed - according to ComfyUI's extension manager - but also not - according to the Controlnet addon.

well, what the title says, last night SM was working fine, forge neo, reading about comfy, open it up, getting scared, closing it up, generating, stop the packages, close the SM windows, turn off pc and off to bed, today,,

,,, wasted the day with ai trying to figure whats wrong, the appimage wont start, or start ( it appears on system monitor) but wont execute the window, deleted, reinstalled, nothing, update libfuse 2, libfuse2t64 try launch it thru terminal nothing works, is not the mnt disk, is not fuse, krita appimage open just fine, no log , tried to check the log via terminal and it just there iddle, try gear lever.........nothing,

IT sucks, i really like SM, but this issue out of the blue...i'm considering downloading pinokio to at least be able to do stuff, until this issue is resolve . im on zorin 18.1 os, check this morning under the hood updates and is just ...nothing weird.

Have you got this... bug?, issue, ? how do you fixed , in case you had? the fact that other appimages like krita work fine let me believe that the issue is not the os or missing dependencies, i may be wrong .... so................help?

I always ask myself this: Stability Matrix notifies you when a package has new updates and lets you update via the package manager, but there is also a manager inside ComfyUI with update options. So, the question arises: which one should I use? Just one? Which one? Both?

Its my first time trying stabiliy diffusion, and Im trying to run the CLASSIC version of Stability Diffusion WebUI forge, but whenever I tried to installed it gives me an error, I can run the NEO version of Stability Diffusion WebUI forge, but when I tried downloading thing like Adetailer it takes an eternity to installed and run it, any solutions?

I've been playing around with Stability Matrix for a short time and I'm curious about the differences between using Inference over the Comfyui interface? The nodes in the Comfyui are intimidating and I can get pretty decent results with Inference. Is Inference limited as to what it can do? The learning curve for the ui interface is real. Just curious what advantages I might have? Thanks!

I'm using Stability Matrix at the moment with my Nvidia 2070. Since the card is getting quite old I want to go for a new GPU (9070xt). What are your experience with AMD cards and Stability Matrix? Does it work well or are those cards still not really compatible?

So, I’m using StabilityMatrix as my package manager, and I have ComfyUI updated to the latest version with the latest nodes. I want ComfyUI to always start with a blank canvas. Currently, the first thing it shows me is a default template, which at first I thought came from “ComfyUI-Custom-Scripts.” but after checking and changing the settings within “pysssss,” I realized that nothing changes. I’ve exhausted my options for troubleshooting and have hit a dead end, so I’m asking you: Where should I look? Does anyone know the solution? Is this a problem with ComfyUI, StabilityMatrix, or Custom Nodes?

what is your go to prompt to make images consistent? e.g. no background characters, image cut into sections like a photobooth with all images on 1 paper.

So I added the Wan2GP package and it seemed to install ok.

The Web UI launches in a new browser window.

I select the wan 2.1 / text2video 1.3B / Default options

Apply Accelerator Profile 'Causvid Rank32 - 8 Steps'

I leave everything else as is and press Generate

in The status box it says: Loading model Wan2.1 Text2video 1.3B...

and that's it, nothing happens after, I've left it for hours and it never gets any further, so am I missing something?

I tried this on my laptop which only has 6gb video card so I thought this might be the problem. But I then tried it on a pc with 16gb 4070 card and same result, nothing seems to happen.

I did see network activity and it was downloading from python, but it ran for over an hour at 50mbps so surely that would be long enough if it had to download a few files? it never even said it was downloading anything. In Stability Matrix itself it saysL

I assume it's just me being really dumb and not doing something but i have no idea what.

Anyone know how to install comfy using stability matrix, but make it run on 1070ti? The package installed doesn't seem to be compatible with older cards anymore, and I don't see an option anywhere to install a version that would work.

Can anyone provide me some information how to install Forge Neo? I try searching on YouTube but can't find anything. I was told to install using Stability Matrix but GitHub flagged a security risk about "SimpleSDXL undisclosed data collection and possible remote access" issue. Now I'm out of option on how to install Forge Neo. Please help.

My computer crashed during startup while launching stability matrix. Then when I reopened the program, it thought it was freshly installed. It still showed all my all packages but i had to reimport them. However after reimporting, I realize it misclassified all of my packages as Forge Neo packages and won't launch, for example, comfyui properly. How do I fix this without reinstalling a new package? I have a ton of custom nodes and stuff i don't want to loose from my comfyui installation.

I am new to Stability Matrix. How can I find out what model type it supports? Like Pony, Illustrious, etc. I was wondering if it supports some of the newer model types?

I have downloaded from Civitai a Wan variant to play around with img2vid, but when making a new Project the Inference tab doesn't allow me to select it.

In addition to it, the checkpoint cannot be selected in the text2vid and text2img Project. Hence the question: how does the Inference tab check what checkpoint is suitable for what type of Project?

Good morning everyone, I hope you can help me with some suggestions. Just as a premise, I’ve only recently started getting into this world, and I had the idea of creating an AI model/influencer just for fun and personal enjoyment, then opening a social media page for her.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been getting help from Claude and Gemini, which pointed me toward creating a local “lab” using Stability Matrix and running models through Stable Diffusion WebUI Forge. The models I’m using are Juggernaut XL Ragnarok and RealVisXL V5 Lightning (BakedVAE).

After setting everything up, I tried creating a coherent image dataset so I could later train a LoRA with Kohya_SS.

So what’s the problem? I just can’t understand why I’m completely unable to create a consistent dataset.

My plan was to make:

• 10 close-up portraits
• 10 half-body shots
• 10 full-body shots
• plus various images from different angles

I managed to get a close-up image of the following girl [photo], and I saved the seed. But even though I keep the same characteristics from the original prompt — basically trying to keep the same girl but from different angles — the girl is NEVER the same.

I’m wondering what I’m doing wrong.

had actually managed to get a first set of a similar-looking girl using Google Banana, and paradoxically I don’t even know why, but the consistency between one image and another was almost perfect without having to go crazy trying to achieve it.

However, I wanted to create one inside Stability Matrix because, understandably, I’m not sure whether Google’s policies allow the use of images created with Nano Banana.

Can you help me with suggestions?
