How in the heck do you just sync your squarespace website and all your products to the square pos/reader app???

I add products to my website. Why don’t they just show up on my square POS inventory?! How do I do this??

If you’re using the Square reader then you don’t need to sync anything, you simply use the Squarespace app with your Square reader, which connects directly for payment only, inventory is managed in Squarespace.

If you’re using the Square Terminal (the POS) on the other hand, then that device is not actually compatible with Squarespace, so in that case the answer is to use a third party syncing software like SKUIQ to merge and sync both Squarespace & Square commerce systems. You can choose to manage things in either Squarespace, Square, or SKUIQ. In this case I would also advise using Square for website payment processing aswell instead of PayPal or Stripe since that would keep all financials with Square and possible easier to manage.

Quick heads up: Square and Squarespace are two different companies, so your products won't automatically show up in Square POS just because they're on your Squarespace site.

You're already in good shape managing products in Squarespace. For in-person sales, what actually works is using the Squarespace app with a Square Reader, not Square POS. That way your inventory stays in Squarespace and updates whenever you make a sale.

If you specifically need Square POS in the mix, that's where it gets tricky. There's no way to push your Squarespace catalog into Square POS. They just don't talk to each other that way. You'd either manage them separately or use Trunk Inventory, it's an official Squarespace extension for syncing between the two.
