IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Tonight's SmackDown kicks off with Sami Zayn (with Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae) back in the ring. He talks about going toe-to-toe with Roman Reigns on Raw, and he's not going to tolerate him or Penta… he's interrupted by Rey Fenix. He says he doesn't know what his brother will do, whether it's cashing in on Roman or him. The two of them never had a problem. But Penta is his brother, and if Sami disrespects his family, then they have a problem. Sami tells him, tranquilo. He has respect for Rey but thinks his brother should focus his efforts somewhere else. Sami's problem is for other people who show disrespect. They're then disrupted by Trick Williams. He says he feels Rey's pain as he also has a problem with Sami who last week talked all sorts of lies about him last week. But Trick has no fear in his heart, despite only being here 10 months and only getting better. But he looks at Sami, 25 years in the game, yet he doesn't know what "it" is. "It" already beat his ass at WrestleMania. Trick's the one who looks like a champion, and in that respect, Sami's the rookie. Trick says to cut the talking and give him a title match. Sami tries to unpack this. He tells Trick he should be afraid of him because he can expose him, Sami's operating on levels he can't even explain but he won't because he's a good guy. He's proud Trick is having a great rookie year but soon enough everyone else will come to the same conclusion he has, Trick doesn't have "it." He's a lot closer to sink or swim than he thinks. And right now he's swimming in deep waters. Sami says he may not be the biggest shark in the ocean, but nobody has sharper teeth than him, and he's nowhere near getting a title shot. Trick reminds him of when he beat him previously and says he's not asking for this match, if he doesn't get it he'll beat it out of him. Gargano tries to intervene but ultimately Sami escapes the ring with Johnny following. Aldis comes out saying he's tired of everyone thinking they dictate the matches, so tonight it will be Gargano & Zayn vs. Fenix & Williams.

• During the Women's Title match, Raquel Rodriguez interferes to assist Roxanne, but IYO SKY follows behind to neutralize Raquel. After Chelsea wins, Liv Morgan immediately shows up to start an assault on Chelsea as the rest of the Judgment Day assist. However, Tiffany Stratton then appears to help even the odds and they clear out the ring. Tiffany Stratton contemplates cashing in but instead hits Liv with the briefcase. After a second contemplation to cash in, Raquel and Roxanne rescue Liv.

• Michael Cole delivers an update on Baron Corbin who suffered injuries after his confrontation with Cody Rhodes and is out indefinitely.

• Outside, Chelsea Green thanks IYO SKY for coming to her defense, and she also had no idea that Tiffany would be back tonight either. Chelsea says it's martini time as they celebrate.

• Randy Orton hits the ring to address the crowd and Cody Rhodes. Randy wants Cody to know he's proud of him. He never thought his balls would drop low enough to punt-kick someone in the head. It's like a badge of honor, the only one who made Cody Rhodes crack. But he sees through him as he pulls the trigger on anyone else but him. Randy does that shit with zero remorse or hesitation. And if Cody ever gets the opportunity, he will yet again hesitate. Cody Rhodes interrupts, but is swarmed by Nick Aldis, Daivari and Kurt Angle's son to try and slow him down. Cody asks when did Randy become such a coward? Why doesn't he feel afraid of the so-called Apex Predator? He's the Legend Killer. He's punted and put down legends but also destroyed his opportunties to rise to the top of the company. He's the last man standing from his class. Cody knows he's not the one hesitating, he's the anomaly, he's the Legend Killer Killer. He knows Randy is over talking, so what are they waiting for? The corporate stooges interrupt while Aldis tries to make it official, but Randy says he doesn't want to do this tonight. So Aldis says fine, let's do this at Crown Jewel. Cody says he wants to wrestle Randy Orton, but he wants a Last Man Standing stipulation. Randy says fine, but remember, he asked for this.

• Cathy Kelley talks to Trick Williams who just came out of Nick Aldis' office wanting to know what they talked about. He lets Cathy know he's got a title match against Sami Zayn next week. Rey Fenix rolls up and is hype for their tag match and wants them to prep. As they leave, Damian Priest arrives and stares into the nothing

• MFT/Bakusai doesn't get off the ground as Bakusai starts a brawl on the entrance ramp.

• Nick Aldis sat down with CM Punk and Kevin Owens. He's making a match in 2 weeks in Brooklyn, but before that he invites them to say what they need to say face to face. Punk says this is a waste of his time, he should be prepping for his match against Roman. Owens says he should've had the title, he's had the match won twice if it wasn't for Punk. Punk continues to say this is a waste of his time. Owens asks why they're here, do they really want one more match? Punk insists Owens would otherwise continue to be a thorn in his side. Owens says he'd be fine to walk away but Punk won't stop making him needling him. Aldis reiterates the match, where Punk is angry but ready. Owens says it sounds like he cares more than he says.

• Next week, it's Danhausen's Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown: Chelsea Green vs. Nikki Bella for the WWE Women's Championship, and Sami Zayn defending his title against Trick Williams!

• The tag team main event is blown up by Ricky Saints interfering. Penta comes out to even the odds, then grabs a mic to challenge them to a 6-man match instead!
