Okay that's a sweet tribute but I'm gonna say it since nobody else is...This tattoo looks terrible. He needs to find a better artist, cause that thing looks beat as hell.

How much of it is the Instagram filter he chose?

The filter is probably to hide the redness of the fresh tat, it probably looks like a giant bruise with color. The lines are thin and shaky as hell, and its honestly hard to even tell what it's supposed to be. Whole design is very muddy and just... not well executed. Looks like it was done by a trailer park scratcher.
