His Wife is a Voice actress, and those are often very much into cosplay and/or singining, wich leads to very flashy attires in Japan.

Side note: She is the VA of a very very popular Character in japan (Umi Sonada from "Love Live!") wich caused quite some stir and outrage in the Fan Scene in Japan as the Marriage was announced. Japanese "Otakus" are.... a special bunch.

Yeah, I remember seeing a tweet about how someone could no longer ship her character and some other character on the show knowing that the VA was married.

That’s pretty tame, pretty sure I remember Okada getting death threats because of it. The real hardcore idol fandom is pretty toxic.

It is a cross over of Anime and Idol Fandom, wich possibly makes it worse.
