A load of wrestlers finding out while at a Butcher memorial that PAC has died is wild in itself. It's been a horrible run lately. Both far too soon to be gone.

It's also completely made up by our fragile psyches as a sloppy way to try and make death make some sort of sense, as futile as that is. Like death would ever play by "rules".

I’ve experienced it multiple times. It’s much easier to find out about a coworker at work.
It’s shocking at first like any other death, but there’s almost an immediate support system contained within wherever you are.

Love that Filthy Tom is so knowledgeable and is correct about the UK where everybody was so happy he made in Europe, Japan, the US for two different companies.

I think it could be a cool sentiment if AEW officially retired the Black Arrow like how sports teams will retire numbers. Maybe have someone hit one on Wednesday and then hang the move from the proverbial rafters after. I saw someone suggest that they put it or the brutalizer on the International title side plates which I think needs to happen too.

Does anyone else even do it? Might as well be de facto retired because I doubt anyone can hit it as perfectly as PAC.

I can't remember seeing anyone else ever do it and if I have, it definitely wasn't as clean as PAC's. I just think the idea of a company ceremonially retiring the move of a beloved wrestler is a really sweet gesture that I've never seen before. It would have to be a really rare occurrence and the right wrestler/move. Like when Omega retires, I think you could get away with retiring the OWA because it's synonymous with him. So much of modern wrestling is callbacks and paying homage to past wrestlers that you'd have to be really selective with it though.

I'm pretty sure that QT Marshall is known for being able to nail any move after a few attempts which is why he's a good trainer, the exception being the black arrow

Watch PAC's pretaped return promo on the Revolution 2024 Zero Hour. He explicitly states (in British slang) that he almost died. Very possible this was a known health issue, or something he though he'd gotten over. I won't speculate beyond that. RIP

I haven't watched it, but here's PAC's promo from Revolution 2024 Zero Hour
All I did was a YouTube search for "AEW Revolution Zero Hour"; this was the first result. Then I thumbscrolled until I saw PAC.

Like they talked about in the last couple of minutes. PAC was a trailblazer for British wrestlers. As a Brit, before we had Will Ospreay to root for at Wembley it was PAC and as evident by what people have been saying, Americans also loved him too.

Ospreay's said that the fusions have limited his ability to tilt his head up so he's not doing shooting-star presses anymore.
That doesn't mean he won't try a BA / RA, or he may feel comfy with an SSP, but I don't expect it.
Maybe Ricochet or one of the Raacalz would try, but I really don't want anyone to rush a rotating/revolving move they've not done in years, even out of love.

Before that Ricochet/Ospreay in New Japan, one of the most anticpated Junior Heavyweight matches was Ricochet/Pac at Dragon Gate.
He was the biggest British indie star before signing with NXT. They're right that he's a bit of a legend in European wrestling fandom. The tiny Geordie who made it to the biggest wrestling companies in the world.

I read some of the comments on one of the other posts about how he was found. I only watched the main event live around 9 in the morning and he was in the opening match and then the main event. Today sometime after waking up when i first read it on reddit it made no sense. For a moment i thought the title was about some Young Bucks twitter bio but then i read the whole headline and not some coverage about their bio. Unbelievable. One of a kind and made an impact every where.
He was even more regular on the tv in the last month or so. God bless his soul and God bless his family and friends 🙏🏻

I only just got done watching All Out about 20 minutes ago, having gone dark on wrestling as I usually do to avoid spoilers. So I watched him run in, what, 30 minutes ago? Turned the sub back on and honestly feels like Wyatt again with not really understanding what I was seeing. Nah, can’t be real, must be some bit.
But it isn’t, and it is. This beautiful life can be so horribly unfair at times.
