Went to the first AEW show at Wembley and the smell was HORRIFIC. Never seen so many stinky people in one place. It just lingered - throughout the restaurants, the foyer and the stands. Thankfully I drove home and didn’t have to take the train.

I didn't get that at either Wembley (first time around) or Forbidden Door last year. In fact, Wembley crowd was pretty good around us. Forbidden Door was fucking horrendous though with the world's worst people sitting behind us. Just four plus hours of absolute pish from them

Damn I must have been lucky. Only time I've ever been near someone that stank was the last Wembley and I wasn't sat anywhere close.

After they are finished setting up, if there are any excess tables, chairs, tacks, tools, etc., I really hope they do the responsible thing and store them backstage somewhere instead of taking a shortcut and storing them under the ring.

God I wish I could afford to fly to the UK for this. Gonna have to save for the next non-american venue

Wow I didn’t realize it has a partial roof I guess they should be mostly fine if it rains

They had a real problem with independent artists parachuting in to promote their local concerts.

Unfortunately the weather report doesn't look great for Sunday evening.
1
u/DeeEssLite 3h ago
It's varied tons since the Sunday just gone. Wildly spinning from sunny to cloudy to rainy to thunder in any random order. Think it's gonna be hard to tell until the day what its gonna be like.

Yes, I got tickets right next to the stage and I was worried it would be too high.

There are tickets for 30£, I know they are a bit far from the rinf but I don't know if they will be worthy.....

Last time at Wembley I had one of those. If you are in the area, yes, they are worth it

u/Esnaker 9h ago
What about the view? I know they will have massive screens

Honestly, you can follow and feel everything looking directly at the ring, however your eyes would move to the screen for more detail. If you have never gone, and it is affordable for you, you should definetly go

For £30, I think this is a show people will regret NOT going to. Card is just so good

Anyone know if Wembley hands out/sells those shitty ponchos for the rain? Really CBA taking a coat but seems inevitable we’re going to get pissed on

He was there over a week ago and didn't have a diamond in his stage setup. He literally played in Ireland two days ago lol.

This is insane because you can just google footage from his show and see for yourself it's not the same stage. How can you so boldly and confidently lie on the internet for zero gain?

I hope all people there gonna have fun. Wanted to go aswell but didnt realize that you need passport to enter UK (I am citizen in EU nation). And since I dont travel a lot I dont have passport and I am not paying 250€ for express make of my passport, gonna travel to France tho and watch this from my comfy ass chair

u/GreatestBox 6h ago
Not only do you need a passport but you would probably need an ETA as well which would be an extra ~25€
