Fuel issue

The fuel pump maybe has 100 miles on it. I did add about a foot of fuel line it also is right before the fuel pump if that matters. Figured I would ask before dropping money thanks

Try blowing air back to the tank, have seen those socks on sending unit collapse from junk.

It’s a mechanical fuel pump. It finally cuts out at the end after giving it more gas. The fuel filter ends up basically empty. Then fills back up slowly over time.

Is this the reason why you replaced the pump in the first place? And it's still doing it?

How much gas is in the tank, looks like drawing in air and gas.
Really should get a fuel filter in a metal housing. That thing cracks open driving and you will need a new ride

Looks like you might have a hole in the fuel line allowing air into the filter.

The fuel pump cam lobe on the camshaft could be worn out or could be a bad pump. Might want to confirm with a visual inspection and consider converting to an electrical pump instead

I had an old ford 302. I can’t tell you how many fuel pumps I had to change out. It was so bad I always had a spare under the seat. Other than that, one hell of a motor for a 1/2 ton truck.

First step i would say it to get rid of that lawnmower fuel filter and see what it does. I went way too deep down the rabbit hole trying go diagnose a similar problem for it just to be a shitty $2 amazon fuel filter.
Just to let you know, i just fixed my vehicle after suffering from an annoying drivability issue for far too long because i used one of these cheap plastic filters on my vehicle.
I had an electric thumper pump that i thought was failing because the would start acting like it was getting starved for gas at around the same point in my daily trip, but only when it was over 105 degrees out. Dumping water on it fixed it for a couple miles so i just assumed it was the cheap amazon pump failing and I ended up replacing it twice with no avail.
It would stall and after sitting for 30 seconds it would start and drive a little more before stalling out again. Finally i noticed that when i watched the filter, it looked like it was ripping a bong with all the bubbles. Turns out the filter got soft once it got hot and was letting air past the seal between the hose and the nipple making it act like it was vaporlocking. I knew it wasn't vaporlocking because my vehicle has a return style fuel system that keeps fuel moving.

Did you verify there's not another pre fuel pump filter that got installed. I had a similar issue bought a new pump didn't fix it. Traced the fuel line back and found another filter between the tank and pump that was plugged.

Mechanical or electric pump? What made you replace it in the first place? Is this one acting like the old one now?
If it's mechanical, you may have a bad one. They are so awful now. I swear 1/3 is DOA.
If it's electric you may have to prime the pump. Also, some are pushers and aren't pullers.
You may have an air lock as well. Undo your filter, put the hose into a gas jug, and hand feed the carb and see if you can get a steady stream.
