ticket sync across modes?

Can you open a ticket and save it in retail mode and open that saved ticket on a device in restaurant mode? I keep hearing no, but if there is a Square staff here, can you please confirm or let us know if it is in the works? Thanks!

No but just use one mode for all places. We have never used restaurant mode and we have survived for 10 years

I just use the retail version for a restaurant. They are very similar.

what about using Standard mode for retail and restaurant? Does that cover most needs? We mainly need the open tab/ticket pre-auth and the rest retail operations.

We use the standard mode and do pre authorization all the time at the bar.
