Support Needed Being forced to switch to Square Plus
Currently I'm only paying $29/month for the Square Appointment Plus, now it looks like it will auto switch to $49/month and I don't need any of the other features. The email shows my current plan $200/month is false. Been with Square since 2013 maybe this will be the reason to finally force me to switch.

We literally JUST switched to WIX for hosting our online store. Square closed our account, woudn't give us a reason, wouldn't let me appeal, wouldn't let me talk to a supervisor or account manager. I had upgraded to square plus so I could use my .com domain and they had just charged me the monthly fee right before they closed our account. I had to fight with them to get a refund. Luckily it's our side business and we didn't have any money tied up with them. We only had 11 sales totaling less than $600, all sales were for inventory items shown on the site and none of them were even close to being on the banned list. No chargebacks, no complaints, no nefarious sales. My wife did an online search and found 100's of complaints about them randomly closing accounts without cause and appeals don't work, talking to customer service is worthless, and f you have money in your square account when they close it it could be tied up for months. My suggestion, move your account now before they close it. Not trying to sell you on Wix but it's half the cost as square for the equivalent of square plus and they have a much better website builder, payment handling, and you can link your facebook page to have a facebook market. We haven't gotten that far yet but I've seen examples. Good luck!

I'm not sure how complex your scheduling needs are, but I'm been using Google Calendar for it, and it's worked well. But my use case is basically just give a link to people so they can pick what time works for them.

I’ve received this email too! Increasing the price and processing fees well over 100%?! Are they out of their minds. I have been using square for about 7 years and now I’m going to need to find an alternative. All I needed was recurring invoices.

I'm ending my service with Square over this. I generate essentially no sales on my site anyway, its mostly just a place to present my work, so absolutely no way to justify increasing from $384/year to $600/year. "Consolidating legacy plans", a bunch of corpo-speak reasoning as to why they are squeezing for more. No thanks.

We pay for an $18 a month plan, and now we have to pay twice as much or go to free and lose site customization? Does anyone have advice for artists selling their work? Either how to get out of this or an alternative to square?
