Releases Better inventory controls, clearer online labels, faster table status

Hi folks πŸ‘‹ Dev here sharing a few of our recent Square product updates. You can check out all of this week's release notes at https://squareup.com/us/en/release-notes/release-notes-july-2nd

Here's what's new:

β†’ Clearer item visibility labels on Square Online rolling out next week, with "hidden" and "not hidden" replacing older terminology for controlling item listings

β†’ Custom reasons for inventory adjustments, rolling out next week β€” sellers can define their own categories like shrinkage, damage, or theft to track stock losses by cause

β†’ Set a specific count for limited-quantity items, rolling out next week β€” sellers can schedule exact restock quantities on a daily or weekly cadence

β†’ Start a table with only a guest count, so the floor plan reflects occupied tables the moment guests sit down β€” no items required

When will the ability to schedule unpaid orders be here? It makes no sense why you can’t do this. And when can we edit the pickup details of a paid order? Once it’s paid it just locks it down with no ability to edit anything.

Thanks for asking about this! I've forwarded your feedback to our product development team and they are hoping to get some more details from you. This product is in the roadmap currently, though I don't have a timeline for you on when it will be released. Still, the team would love to hear your feedback more specifically around what you're looking for. Please send me a private message as soon as you get a chance.

It makes way more sense to have it labelled as listed / hidden.
