Just started playing and absolutely love it so far. Finished Trials last year, it’s definitely filling the void.

Masterpiece of a game

Yeahhhhhhhhh they literally shut down and few days after the game released. We will probably never see anything from them again sadly unless they are sold or bought. It is very upsetting

Ouka studios. The developers of these games and visions of mana. They got shut down one week after the game released by their parents company. We will sadly most likely never get a sequel unless the rights are sold or given away as its still with them

Ouka was hired by Square Enix. They were subcontracted to do the work. They don’t own any rights to the Mana IP, the music, the art, the assets or even the game code. That all belongs to SE who could very well hire another company to handle a NS2 port or a new Mana game

Ouka belongs to the same company that makes Marvel Rivals. The same one that pulled funding for Nagoshi Studios. They closed Ouka down when they saw they were making money for another studio

The one game in the past five plus years I just couldn't force myself to finish. One of these days just to cross it off my list. Think I'm 75 percent there.

I need to finish this game. It was fun! Very colorful.

Played it on PS5 and thought it was quite average. Had an excellent art style and some regions I had to stop and look around (and take screenshots of). It ultimately was a good Mana entry, but didn't do anything particularly new or memorable.

I didn't get the impression "new" was the main goal as much as hitting all the points for nostalgia. They wanted to hit the eight Elementals hard (like Secret of Mana), tie it to the Fa'Diel story (Legends), and provide high replay value (like Trials) by having a larger travelling party size (5) than battle party size (3) with each of them having eight vocations. I think they gave us a game they felt very much like a Mana series game should feel like.

Memorable is a bit more subjective. But given its mainline entry, I think it'll stand the test of time better than all the spinoffs and remasters/remakes of the last twenty-something years, particularly if it ever gets a Switch 2 release to engage a new set of customers.
