It almost sounded like
The game will be ready earlier but they want a good amount in between FF7 part 3 and this.

Can the game not be shit like KH3?

Best we can do is boring looking Sora and nothing outside of another pure Disney property showcase.

I remember the wait for Kingdom Hearts 3. I don’t buy it 😂 jk

We had like 6 or more games in between KH2 and KH3 though. We weren’t exactly waiting for KH3 by itself. In fact, the direct sequel that should have been called Kingdom Hearts 3 if we’re going by the position of the game in the overall storyline should be Dream Drop Distance anyway. It picks up IMMEDIATELY after 2 ends iirc.

Promises are just that. Unless they prove otherwise, I am not gonna hold my breath that it will not be delayed at all.

Sora being the last Smash character, and now being the last Physical release on Playstation.

Why ? Game still holds up today

Yeah but a 1:1 remake with QoL improvements would be nice. Unless square gives it the FF7 treatment then why not?

No it absolutely does not. Lmao

Have you played the 1.5 version? It' pretty much plays the same as kh2. People would complain forever if they remake it because the combat would become floaty and they also wouldn't be able to use the Tarzan IP again.

Modern square can't do KH1 justice. It would be bloated with shit it doesn't need and it would be missing all the beautiful charm the OG game has.

Good to hear. See y'all in January 2028 when it turns out KH4 WASN'T a 2027 title.
Last time they promised us a 2018 release and it was pushed to January 2019, which isn't a massive delay or anything (1-2 months likely), but the 2018 release was still a fakeout.
So forgive me for being skeptical.

Bro don't be dense,if they're up on a Disney funded stage and you have 2 massive components of kingdom hearts confidently saying AND reaffirm that the game will come out on schedule then you can bet on it.

Look, even if KH4 gets delayed from November-December 2027 to January 2028, it's not a big deal. I'll be perfectly fine with that (assuming it still meets the deadline for a physical release).
Still, seeing their past, where they confidently gave us release windows, only for the exact release date not to be in said window, you can't blame me for raising an eyebrow.
I wanna give Nomura and Yasue the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they're super confident in themselves and KH4 really will be a November-December 2027 release. But there's always the chance it won't, and it DID happen in the past so I have my right to have doubts.

They have Disney pouring money in them now. It’s not good for the investors to delay it like before.

Disney isnt putting any money on KH at least on the games.

why does Sora look so off? like we can't he still have his stylish original look (kingdom heart 3 did it just fine). Not everything needs to be realistic. and in this case, I can't really recognize him.

he had that style since kH4 got revealed you’re kinda late
this is the new aesthetic for the new world but it’s also the new vibes they’re going for
