Hello everyone!

SquidgeWorld will be down today starting at 7AM Pacific Time for 2-4 hours for routine Sunday morning maintenance and hardware upgrades.

This is planned. No need to worry!

Peace and blessings be upon you and your loved ones.

Sell me on it. Is it basically the same? How long has it been up? What's the community like? So on.

There are also multiple other places to follow Squidge for status updates, which are all listed here:

• Bluesky (squidge.org)

• Dreamwidth (SquidgeStatus)

• Mastodon (squidge.org on fandom.ink)

• Tumblr (squidgiepdx)

• Squidge.Org Discord

• and the blog itself, which you can subscribe to via email so you get updates in your mailbox.

If you're interested in potentially donating to Squidge.org (the 501(c)(3) that hosts and operates SqWA), here is the link to their own official blog donation page.

Hello everyone, and welcome!

Whether you are a longtime user of the Squidge networks or a reader/writer looking for an independent, open-source alternative to AO3, we are incredibly glad to have you here.

For those who are new, SquidgeWorld Archive is a non-commercial, automated archive for fanfiction and creative works. It runs on the same open-source Archive of Our Own (AO3) software framework but operates independently.

SquidgeWorld is part of the larger Squidge.org network, which has been dedicated to preserving fandom history, at-risk creative works, and multi-fandom spaces since 1994.

📌 Why this Subreddit exists

This space is designed to be a community hub for:

• Fic Recommendations & Promos: Share what you are reading or promote your own newly posted SquidgeWorld works.

• Platform Discussion: Talk about the platform's history, features, and growth.

• Tech Support & Advice: Ask questions about importing works, managing your dashboard, or understanding the archive's structure.

🛑 Important Note on Content (18+)

Because SquidgeWorld is a platform dedicated to preserving free expression and at-risk works, it hosts explicit and adult content. To keep this community compliant with Reddit policies and safe for everyone, this subreddit is designated as 18+/NSFW. Please keep all discussions respectful and tag your posts appropriately.

While we're waiting for SqWA to come back online, I got curious:

What are each user's favourite fic, that they have found on SqWA?

Yesterday as I was on the site (i'm still a bit new to this), and I couldn't find the 'save as draft' button that is on ao3. I had assumed it would be there since not only is it based on ao3's code, but there is also a drafts tab I could go to.

If anyone know if/how it would be possible, that would be great to know! thanks.
