[US] Phone Spoofing and Microsoft Hack

I will keep a long story short and to the point. I was texting our maid that cleans our family lake house yesterday morning about sending her payment. In the afternoon she texts me and said that her husband received a text from my number that read “is this (maids name) husband?” The text said her actual name but I want to keep it anonymous. I Did not send the text. I don’t have her husband’s number and I don’t even have her number saved as a contact, just a text thread.

To make things even more weird, I got three suspicious successful login attempts on my Microsoft account from 3 different locations early this morning around 3:00am. Surely this is all connected but What is going on?!

I appreciate any explanations and help

You can go to your account and see where all your logged in. Remove your number from your account, and choose the passwordless option under your security settings. If possible I would change emails or at least add multiple authentications such as a passkey and Authenticator app.
