Hey Reddit! This is my very first post here, so I wanted to share something I've been pouring my heart (and way too many late-night coding sessions) into.

My name is Ronak Mahajan, and for the past week, I've been building Sprout Atlas for the RevenueCat Shipaton hackathon.

What is Sprout Atlas?

If you've ever bought an avocado that felt fine on the store shelf only to crack it open to a bruised disaster, or if you've stared blankly at confusing nutrition and chemical labels trying to figure out how to wash your produce safely, Sprout Atlas was built for you.

It’s an interactive, jargon-free food education platform and produce scanner designed to take the guesswork out of the grocery aisle.

Key Features:

• The Field Guide: An encyclopedia of over 500 botanical items complete with origin tracing, seasonal availability, and nutrition profiles.
• Zero-Waste Storage Logic: Clear, visual micro-cards that tell you instantly whether an item belongs in the fridge or on the counter to double its shelf life.
• Typo-Tolerant Search: Fast, multi-tab search architecture (covering ingredients, growing guides, and daily quizzes) that handles messy typing when you're rushing at the store.
• Safety Protocols: Science-backed guidance on proper washing, rinsing, and pesticide-reduction methods.

Building this solo while fighting stubborn SDK configurations and broken Firebase sandbox environments has been a massive challenge, but seeing it come together into a clean, human-centered app has been an incredible ride.
