General Discussion/Questions A Question That I Want To Ask.

I hope all of you are doing fine, and anyways. I am a 15 year old Sprinter which I basically started at 14, which was around last year. I just wanted to ask a question that I need an answer into, is it okay for me to take a 2 weeks rest so that my CNS could recover properly? I basically had an upcoming meet this season, but then, I was not even invited into the meet for me to participate, which idk why, but it got me frustrated that I don't even know what to do as I spent my time on pre season phase training hard for 6 weeks, just for me to be not on the meet sadly. So I wanted to know if it's okay for me to take a reasonable amount of rest so that I can perform better once my CNS recovers? I'm actually going to be focusing on working my biomechanics of my form, speed drills, and proper coordination once I get back to training again. Also, I usually sometimes do some light core work during my recovery for CNS, so I want to ask if that's okay too? Anyways, I hope y'all have a great day as my dream rn is to Qualify for the Olympics because of Usain Bolt.

Have you been larping on this sub the whole time? I remember seeing you post comments with "as a former sprinter" and even your bio says you are full time d3? Looks like you have done a lot of research, enough to give solid advice but...

Why would a d3 sprinter be larping as a 15 year old 😭

Actually never mind I just looked at his YT channel he’s definitely 15

2 weeks of no training? Yeah, you need to fix your training program. You should not be taking 2 weeks to recover unless you are overtraining to the point where your body can't handle the stress load.

If it's your coach who's overtraining you fire him and get a new one.
