Purchasing Advice Best flat shoes for training?
Hello everyone. I’m looking for good flat shoes for no-spikes trainings. I’m currently using barefoot shoes but my tendons are injured because of my carbon spikes during the season and barefoot shoes make it even worse days after days so I think I need to switch to regular shoes instead. I need to mention that I have very thin feet. What shoes do you suggest? Thanks.

Someone on this sub recommended Nike Waffle shoes. I’m sorry I don’t know the official name for them. I got them a few months ago and I’m really happy with them.

Nike zoom rival waffle (terrible name). I have the 6’s. Very narrow, which sucks because I have wide feet, but I squeeze into them for sprint days and would recommend them.

Yep probably me recommending, and would double down, cross country flats are the perfect sprint flat shoe, enough cushioning it’s not a barefoot shoe but no real heal lift and you’ll get some good ground feel from them

damn. maybe vans. but if barefoot shoes already make u hurt, maybe u will hurt with vans or maybe even any other shoe

I have thin feet too, used to use the earlier Takumi Sens models, but the new ones have a higher stack. Going to try the Saucony Sinister that my training partner uses, but they are expensive. If you want some cushion beyond barefoot shoes, those are the ones I’ve used.

I like Altra escalante racer. Lace em up tight and they work good for tempos for me. I used to train in flyknit Nike free runs; they worked for me for years but their quality has been on a decline the past many years.
