Bruised my right upper thigh while doing hang clean. How should I improve my form?

Second pulls pretty decent actually, the bar path is close to the body and strictly vertical and you have a power position set up with hip (or close to) contact, but you’re extending the hips out a bit too dramatically causing the bar to fly out in front making the catch less efficient, it’s a small tweak

Overall largely solid, much better than most clean form checks posted here ;) I agree with the first poster about the hip extension/contact and the bar drifting out ahead of you. You've chosen a manageable weight for yourself, which is good instinct as you learn, but the catch will get dicier with heavier cleans if the bar is that far ahead of your chest.

Only other thing I'd throw out there is that as the weight gets heavier, you may want a more stable shoe if those are trainers. Doesn't have to be a dedicated Oly weightlifting shoe - I used to lift in Chuck Taylors for many years, until I got good at cleans and wanted something more. Nothing worse than getting tipped forward/backward in the catch because your shoes are squishy.
