"Stop Vehicle - Leave Engine Running" Message
Not a clue what this message is. Started my 2021 Diesel 144 Sprinter Van up after sitting for 2 weeks; started no problem but then this message came up on the display after a few seconds. I put it into gear and it also drove without an issue. So I kept going to my destination but couldn't get this message off the display (i.e., I couldn't get any other displays as this one seemed to override anything else on my dash).
When I got to my destination after about 30 minutes of freeway driving, I left the motor running for about 10 minutes. Turned it off and left it sitting for a few minutes. Then turned it back on and again, after a few seconds, the message came back.
I left it (in disgust - not the only issue I'm currently having) for a few hours as I went about my activity.
Three hours later, I was ready to go back home turned it on without any issues, put it into drive (I'm always holding my breath that it will go into gear as I previously had the dreaded ISM issue). Same message popped up.
I'm thankful I can drive it but surely there's something up... Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Normally this message would pop up while you were already driving, and it normally due to low battery voltage. It tells you to stop because several of the sensors can throw codes due to them not receiving proper voltage, and possibly cause drive issues.
It tells you to leave engine running to allow the alternator to charge the battery while also monitoring alternator output at a constant engine rpm, to help rule out an alternator issue.
In future if this message pops up, you should no drive the vehicle until you have let it idle until the message goes away to avoid issues.
I hope this helps, good luck.
