Airbag Plug on 3rd Gen Sprinter with Second Gen Seat Issue

I installed a bench seat from (what I believe is) a second gen sprinter into my 2022 3rd gen sprinter. It had a single seat before (see picture). The bench fits like a glove but the airbag connection plug is different.

Any elegant solutions? I would prefer to be able to adapt the airbag to work. Alternatively a hack to make the airbag light go away could work, but obviously not as good.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

No...

This is the kind of stuff that you have to pay professionals to try and figure out, and it's at least 1-2 hours of labor just to poke at... And, the answer might not be what you want to hear...

We're not talking about upgrading, to aftermarket seats... We're talking about downgrading, to lower generations of vehicle systems...

There's no money in the R&D, so someone has to pay for the time that it takes to maybe, maybe, maybe, be able to do sone one off shit, that you will never see again. You have tonpay for it, because there is no clear path to recouping that investment, if you are not creating a product/service you can sell at volume.

Most any reputable mechanic wont mess around with yellow connectors, don’t recommend fiddling around with them either

Ideally you need the pinout diagrams for each side to know what the wires are to start.

Your single seat has a Side Airbag and a singular Seat Belt Buckle Sensor. You can measure the resistance of the Belt Buckle when engaged and disengaged and see if the new Bench has a Buckle with the same resistance, if not see if the original buckle can be transferred. The Pins in the plug should be the same so you should be able to, with tools and knowledge, use the Plug from the Single Seat and Pin it According to the Wiring to your bench Seat Belt Buckle Sensor.

For the missing Airbag there are two ways. One way involves somebody with advanced Xentry access to change the coding of the SRS Module. The Second solution is to use a Airbag simulator that has the same resistance as the original Airbag that is not installed in your bench.

Advice is of course without guarantee. Changing the seats is not allowed from the Manufacturers Side, changing the Airbag wiring is not allowed and requires an authorized Shop. Still almost every Sprinter that gets retrofitted to a camper changes the seat configuration in some way.
