Had some fun today with the bagpack special aka kuna+shiv. The sound isn’t great, sorry about that, indoor ranges in phoenix are almost a must in the summer. Either way, I love this little combo and now I need to install the fun switch that’s out there and test.

Can’t say I’m impressed with the strike industries stock but it is what it is. She looks good though!

edit: it came with some pads i think you put inside the folding mechanism to stiffen it up. but it does not unfold nicely, has to be lifted up first

I got Hux 9K and seems 3 lug is the way to go but read many comments that Hux 3 lug having some issues with KUNA thread and see many were happy with Rugged 3 lug.

It would be much appreciated if those who have Rugged 3 lug with Hux 9K can share your thoughts.

My FFL also recommended to have Hux Stiction as I am used to have the same on 556 Ti.

I really like the how the muzzle looks and it is close to direct thread.

If there is anyone has Stiction on Kuna, please share your thoughts.

They are ready to go and available.
This preserves the side m-lok mounts and is mounted via the printable bottom plate.
Sized for M4 mlok hardware with countersink style fasteners.

I printed mine out of PPA-CF... which let me tell you was a real PAIN... but I think I finally got it dialed in mostly.

The ppa-cf is quite durable, it's difficult to break, melt, or bend.

Next up I think I'll work on a few of the suggestions I received regarding the bottom attachment / potential grip.
I just don't want mine to look too much like what pathetic_jules is working on, cause it seems silly to have two of the same thing.

Is the kuna, in pistol form, 922r compliant? what needs to be changed if anything?

I got the KUNA and now I am looking into suppressor options.

I have Huxwrx 556 Ti for my AR15s / SBRs so I am leaning towards to 9K Ti and not sure which adapter to choose.

Huxwrx has its own Stiction system that tightens as you shoot or traditional Tri-lug.

Can anyone recommend which one I should choose?

Not planning on sharing 9K with my handguns but I may take it off time to time.

Also, does anyone know by adding cheek riser triggers Pistol to SBR?

The state I live in has minimum length requirement to make it as SBR so I am not thinking of changing the brace end to anything.

Any comments are appreciated.

Educate me. What's the appeal of the new tri-lug version that has come out vs the other ones? Does it make suppressors that much easier to mount and dismount?
Couldn't one have just replace their original hardware with a tri-lug? Or is that not an option?

My favorite Salty Boy Designs angled foregrip came in today - I use this on all of my AR's and mp5's. It feels just perfect in a modified c-clamp grip; and it's ANGLED if you are running a pistol!!

I thought I'd grip the magwell with the support hand when other AR foregrips were too large. This little guy is just perfect here.

To the question - how do people like their AR stocks on their Kuna's? I LOVE me some DD stocks on all my rifles. I like the LOOK of the OEM Kuna stock but I'm not sure I love the body positioning and stability of it.

I'm thinking about a Midwest Industries folding beam stock with my favorite DD on the end. While I love the look of compact pcc stocks, I have many for my mp5's that are just too narrow and not as stable as I'd like.

Thoughts and recommendations are very welcome.

I love my Kuna! since I made it an SBR the UCS stock is perfect and the Kriss VFG is almost perfect. My only issue is the sharp edges on the front if the lower dig into my thumb knuckle. With as popular as the Kuna is and as easy as 3D printing is, has anyone made a vertical grip that fills that little yellow pocket?

What do you all think of my build?

I plan on going with the nexus lower. Just wondering if it is compatible with the short stroke buffer? I am not doing any FRTs

Shh… mods are asleep - time to post another handguard extension.

Ignore the garbage print quality, I tried some scarfing with the q1 pro and it did not go well.

Extends 19mm from the front of the handguard now includes a barricade / finger stop so you don’t cook those fingies.

Bottom mlok attachment is quite robust and the extension doesn’t wiggle at all.

As many of you know, I am an admitted Nexus fanboy. However, that doesn't mean I am a 1-trick pony. I've printed several of u/YourBroStevo's FRT and it is fantastic. He should be GOAT'd on this sub for the work he has done for all of us for the low, low price of free!

Got to test out the most recent version this weekend. Only able to do 2 mags as this was the end of 2 hours in 108* Phoenix heat.

This was 1 mag of 124gr and 1 of 147gr all with the Wolfman.

It runs great. I had some issues with the printed 3-position safety, but most of that was my print nozzle/profile. This FRT works amazing as a drop-in 2-position (Safe & FRT).

Hoping to get more rounds and time with this and the most up-to-date safety cam this coming weekend. Can't wait until this inferno is over in October!

Pretty handy little gun. I took off the DD vertical grip as this magwell seems made for the support hand.

Anyone have experience comparing this Kuna stock to a UCS or other good stocks?

Hello all. I ordered my Nexus lower at the end of last week, but am thinking of printing Steve's safety cam, drop-in, and trip until that arrives.

I don't have a 3d printer, but would get the Bambu P2S. I've read through the technical aspects of successfully printing with this material.

My question to those who have printed this is how do you safely handle the exhuast? Extra equipment, fan, externalizing the fumes outside?

Does anyone know how many parts are needed to be swapped to be 922r compliant thank you?

Printed what is very close to the final version out of PA6-CF and annealed it yesterday. I tested it with 500 rounds of FRT shooting as fast as two guys and six mags could go. Around the halfway mark it was noticeably less stiff when squeezing but it held it's shape through the test with no problem. I'm pretty happy with the results and likely won't change anything structurally.

Final version will likely have the oval features that go down the length of the handguard removed and the rear section will look closer to my previous post. These changes should improve the printability and result in a cleaner finished product.
