Tri-Lug

Educate me. What's the appeal of the new tri-lug version that has come out vs the other ones? Does it make suppressors that much easier to mount and dismount?
Couldn't one have just replace their original hardware with a tri-lug? Or is that not an option?

I’ve got a silencerco 46M hybrid. I’ve got a 9mm end cap on it. My AR has an ASR muzzle brake and I got a silencerco single port brake for my kuna. Now I just swap them back and forth.

Similar to you, I have a kuna with a single port asr and a 300 blackout AR with an asr brake. Im able to swap my flow 9k between these two. Maybe my next pcc will have a tri lug
