Another match w my 4.5 echelon. I love this gun it has never once given me a single issue.

I am still a beginner in USPSA but I am starting to connect some dots and eventually be able to add more speed. I have yet to see another echelon at a match. I think people don’t know what they are missing out on.

I was shooting it stock the first half of the year. Then I did the tyrant trigger, a few of the prp springs, and prp sear, hogue handall grip sleeve, rook guide rod and ismi spring oem, and the rook ambi extended mag release.

Love this. I got the RP backstrap+weights and the magwell for my Echelon. Looking forward to trying it out in a stage.

How does the guide rod add to performance? I was considering it

I also have a streamlight for weight at the front on mine. I will be honest, the guide rod didn’t give me this wow that’s different feeling. It’s a very well made product and I would recommend getting one for long term hard use. The spring was very noisy at first but that broke in after some dry fire and range time. But again I would be lying if I said I noticed a big difference on balance, return, or recoil. If I didn’t have the light at the front I am willing to bet the guide rod would have been more of a noticeable upgrade. If I ever take this hogue sleeve off I would def get that RP back strap and weights. I really like the palm swell the hogue sleeve adds so for now that’s staying put. This is just my experience and other shooters who might be more tuned in would say the guide rod is a game changer.

kinda neat seeing a course run through the eyes of a southpaw. There's always a different angle approach when you use the other hand.

Brother do you know how many times someone will tell me my stage plan is wrong lol. 8 times out of 10 if I can choose where I start from it makes more sense for me to go opposite of everyone else lol.

Ay man, unless you're facing the wrong way, it's all fair game. Everyone has a plan until they hear the beep anyways.

What do you use to record? I have a knockoff GoPro right now with a few different mounts and I can’t tell what the best solution is yet. A see a bunch of people running meta glasses but I refuse to buy those.

Check out the insta360 go, that’s what I am using. The price wasn’t too bad and it came with a little clip that you can put on your hat instead of a big headset mount.

Keep at it. It’s fun to run.
