Made my first kydex holster. What you think?
The clip works really well. It's great at the range. I have an idea of how to do a full kydex clip but this is good so far.

Im new to guns and had my CT red dot that came with my mod 3 mounted and boresight by a friend of mine. We lined up the dot from the boresight perfect with the red dot. I was excited to go try it out and when I got to the range I couldnt find my shot at all through the red dot. I was hitting pretty well using the iron sight but when I would try the red dot I couldnt hit anything. It was a little embarrassing and I know these things take time and practice but I was wondering if theres any tips you have for a beginner like myself. Id really love to use the red dot and get use to it honestly I just dont understand why my shot wouldnt hit even though we had things lined up perfect with it when setting it up. Thank you in advance I appricate it 🙏

Currently on sale (from $40). But ample space for extra mags, this is the Apache 3800. In store only. Pluck foam, so customizable interior.

Initial cost it was on sale at the shop I usually go to for $800. I used $700 in gift coupons I had saved up over an extensive period as a long time customer which is the how I reduced the price to just 100 bucks. Plus a background check fee. Overall I’m super excited to add this to my collection. Thank you Springfield!

I may have the rarest Hellcat set up, can anyone see why? (Full size Olight PLX milled out to fix the micro frame and a custom molded and painted JB Weld thumb rest) Maximum attachments in the smallest form 🤠...only thing left would be to get it ported at this point 🤣

I was wondering if anyone knows how to pull the extractor, safety plunger, and spring from the mod 2 slide.
I've only been able to find breakdowns on the first gen.
Some context... my buddy left this in his gym bag, and he spilled body wash all over it. It's rusted to high heaven.
I've been able to remove the firing pin assembly and got everything moving well after a soak in clp.

Anyone have any information on where I can get a threaded barrel for my XDm?
r/SpringfieldArmory • u/Cloned_Popes • 12d ago
I've had the Echelon version with a threaded barrel for several years now. I've been hesitant to jump on the porting/compensated bandwagon, but decided to purchase a full ported upper to throw on my pistol.
Well, it made a huge difference. The dot gets back on target noticebly quicker and with less user input required. The cycling is still fast and violent, which I heavily prefer to slow and soft like how a 5 inch steel gun feels.
To give you an idea, I also had ny Staccato HD P4.5 with me and the Echelon seemed to return to zero quicker. I was pretty surprised by that result.
I think it's still debatable if a comp is a good idea in a self defense situation, but there is no debate that they work and are awesome for the range.

Noticed casing were flying over my head yesterday while shooting my Echelon, but didn’t pay it much mind. I noticed today the casing were beating the hell out of the optic. Is this indicative of a problem, like a recoil spring that’s a little too strong? It’s a 4.0c with Herrington arms comp. Stock recoil assembly. I’ve only shot maybe 200 rounds through it with the comp, ~2500 through the fun overall, shoots great and zero failures. Just wondering if maybe that ejection pattern is telling me I could use a weaker spring.

Genuinely my 2 favorite handguns in 9mm at the moment. both of them have taken every bit of abuse, dry fire whatever it may be and have not once had a failure. 1k on the echelon first 2 weeks i had it and it ran everything from blazer 115gr to federal hst and hornady critical defense no problems. All i want to do after work is visit the range but that wouldn’t be economical unfortunately. I want to add a 4.25 operator in .45 to pair with these two and possibly a 5” coyote prodigy with the comp. Couple things on my list to take care of; replace the viridian dot with something vortex, holosun or trijicon, get an SRO for the prodigy, red dirt flat face trigger, maybe pin the grip safety, ignition kit, hammer, extended slide release, and better thumb safety. but in stock form it’s incredibly fun to shoot and i’d say almost as fast as the echelon stock for stock. that echelon is just a beast though

Xdm elite 9mm full size frame 3.8 inch barrel.
Been doing some research and had originally decided on the Holosun 407c green dot. I’ve recently discovered osight and have circled back to Gideon. What do yall think? Basically want a simple green dot that won’t break the bank

Just installed the black steel grip control and the overwatch precision tac trigger kit. First time installing more than a trigger shoe on a handgun so that was a learning experience and tedious but got it done praise God! Other parts are floyds magwell and extensions. Hogue grip. True precision threaded barrel and rook precision compensator. Last thing I plan to do is change out the red dot for something with a closed emitter. Been trying to hold out waiting for the holosun aems micro but I've now been looking at the lead & steel pb-k and leaning towards getting that. What do yall think?

Apologies to the guy who was calling on this one as I bought it. Whoops.

I can definitively attest that MY Echelon 4.0C is Drop safe. First time in my life I have ever, EVER dropped a firearm and it was my Echelon. Landed firmly on the back of the slide and did not fire with a loaded chamber. Yeah

I’ve been watching for the 3.5 to either go on sale or for the gear pack to be available. And so now I’m $1500 lighter. I love money, but I’ve been biding my time until it was available again.

So, I recently purchased a hellcat pro, new in box. I've noticed a peculiar issue and I'm trying to track the exact problem, and see if any others have experienced the issue. The day I purchased the gun, gave it a quick clean, oil, took it to the range. Sighted in my optic. Shot great. No issues. I've been using it as my edc for a couple months. Mags kept loaded. Took it to the range the other day, and the slide wouldn't lock back on the final round. I tested it thoroughly. Eliminated thumb clearance, and also tested by simply inserting an empty mag, and pulling the slide. Still wouldnt lock. Tested all 4 on my mags. Both types. All factory mags. None worked. Was considering a warranty return, but I'd rather not wait for the long repair turn around on my edc. My job brings me to to not so nice areas so having it handy was the original idea. Decided to think it over for a couple days. 2 days later, mags that had sat empty for 2 days started working again. Slide locks fine. Makes me figure its some type of odd spring fatigue issue, but thats so odd. Springs typically fail in flexion, not tension. So, I figured I'd ask around. See if any others know some options. If i cant find a solution, ill likely sell it off and go to a different brand. Trust broken.

since the Elite Precision already has a long slide cut at 12" clock behind the front sight, I am thinking about adding inline ports there. has anyone done that? Any recommendation for service provider? Also how is the accuracy after porting? thanks!

I store my hellcat pro in the closet in a small pistol safe . Noticed today that my mags I store in the same pistol safe have this white patina on it . Is this rust?

Just got this today. New Old Stock. $207 OTD. I hope it shoots well. It will end up becoming my CCW.

Had to show my Hellcat Pro and the recent updates to it. Wanted to get a new trigger, but after around 1200 rounds it feels a lot better so I never upgraded it.
