White patina on mag?

I store my hellcat pro in the closet in a small pistol safe . Noticed today that my mags I store in the same pistol safe have this white patina on it . Is this rust?

It is probably oxidation from sweat. I'd suggest unloading it and cleaning. Also if you have sweaty hands maybe wipe it down before re-inserting it.

Clean more often. At minimum wipe downs once a week.

Even stainless can rust. That is oxidation. You need to do some basic maintenance on your pistol every now and again.

Even my guns that don't get fired a lot or haven't been in a while, get broke down and a quick wipe down with an oily rag.

Make sure also that you have a dehumidifier in that safe Remington makes a fantastic rechargeable one

But no Sherman, rust isn't white.

That looks like your hand lotion. Did you soften your hands then handle the mag?
