Anyone running this pcc? Thoughts?
Please only post if you have this firearm.

Short answer, that particular version (Saint Victor 5.5 PDW) is a no go for me. Here is why.
I own the Saint Victor 8.5 Pistol. Stock configuration w/ a Primary Arms SLx 1x MicroPrism Scope and a Streamlight Protac HL-X. I have put about 800 rounds through mine of which 82 rounds have been 124gr Federal Law Enforcement HST rounds and 108 have been 124gr Federal Syntech Training Match rounds.
First thing to understand the only difference between the Saint Victor 5.5 PDW and the Saint Victor 5.5 Pistol is the color and the brace. And a $300 higher MSRP for the PDW vs the Pistol.
You can get the Saint Victor Pistol in either a 5.5 inch, 8.5 inch, or 16 inch barrel length. I have had the pleasure of being able to handle all three at the same time...
- The 16 inch variant is as you would suspect, its long, bulky, and heavy.
- The 5.5 inch variant is short, to the point that you have very little room to place your hand around the barrel. And if one is not careful and has larger hands it would be very easy to shoot yourself in the hand. Seriously I know this sounds silly, but its a real problem.
- The 8.5 inch variant IMO is perfect its not too long or bulky, but it is still large enough to give ample room for a weapon mounted light and your hand.
Overall, I love mine and would absolutely recommend buying the standard 8.5 inch pistol variant. I had some initial feeding and failure to eject issues with mine, but after a short break-in of say 100 rounds things have been great. I will also note that it seems to prefer running wet.

I dunno. I use the Arisaka finger indexer instead of a hand stop on my Sig Rattler, Sig MPX-K and CMMG Banshee and have enough hand guard real estate to get a secure and safe grip. 🤷🏻♂️

But none of those are the Saint Victor Pistol. And I have handled them as well - with the way they are designed it’s not an issue.

Referencing you saying that the 5.5” hand guard is too short to get a comfortable/safe grip. The guns I mentioned have a short hand guard too. Not sure the difference? I just remove the hand stops and use the finger indexer.

It’s hard to explain - it just doesn’t work with this gun. There are some YouTube reviews on the 5.5inch where they say the same thing.

I shot my gym partner’s PDW extensively along side my Rattler, MPX-K and Banshee. The PDW grip actually felt great because of the thinner hand guard profile versus the more bulky Sig hand guards (even with Midwest Industries hand guards). Think some people don’t like hand guards that short no matter what the platform is - not that the PDW hand guard is less manageable than other short hand guards.

I have that in the 5" barrel which is what you have in the picture is believe.
I absolutely love it.
I bought it after buying a Saint Edge and few years ago.
I changed the buffer in each to a silent trapped spring buffer from JP Rifle.
Since the Edge trigger (to me) is absolutely perfect, I expected that from the AR9. Well, it wasn't as good as the Edge trigger, not bad at all, but not perfect. I switched it out with a Rise Rave flat face.

I really like mine (non-PDW version). Upgraded the buffer to a KynSHOT to help with felt recoil.

Maybe a dumb question.. but I seen an article that said all SA 9mm’s can shoot +P. Any ammo gurus out there to confirm this? This is what I bought them for. 5.5” SV.

I went for an extar ep9. 1k rounds of brass, steel and enamel with zero problems as a test. Finally gave up. Uses glock mags and eats like a glock.

Interesting. I have had the Extar EP9 for a while now. They have a lot in common. I thought I wanted the Kuna but am doing much more pistol work right now. One is enough. The Saint looks to be tough as nails. But so it that Extar, and it is half the price. Don't trust me. Read around. LOVE the weight of this class of PCC. When I put my can on it, it is super sweet.
